TITLE: Corporate Director of Health Information Management

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
Graduation from an approved university with a B.S. degree in HIM (HIM). Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A).
Minimum of five years management experience in acute care HIM, preferably in a large health care system. Applicants must have three years of experience in an administrative management/leadership capacity and demonstrated proficiency and/or knowledge of health information-related computer software applications and interfaces.
Corporate responsibility for coordinating HIM services across the multi-facility integrated health system. Including the direction, planning and operations of Health Information Management Departments and Health Information Services across the health system. Direct responsibility for the facility HIM departments. Oversight of the management of the HIM Departmental operations and related areas to ensure successful operations and outcomes, in compliance with internal regulations as well as various external agencies including Joint Commission, CMS, etc. Consulting assistance responsibilities for health information matters throughout the ambulatory practices, physician office practice locations, etc. Participate in various administrative and medical staff endeavors as required for effective management and administration of related HIM functions. Responsible for efficiently administering HIM process improvement activities.
